Kevin McHugh has been in Geography at Arizona State University since 1985, when he moved to ASU from the University of Southern California where he held a joint appointment in Geography and the School of Urban Planning. He has held various posts in the Population, Urban, Qualitative Research, and Aging Specialty groups of the Association of American Geographers, and served on the editorial boards of The Professional GeographerGrowth and Change, and Aether: The Journal of Media Geography. McHugh has served on more than 50 M.A. and Ph.D. supervisory committees at Arizona State, is active in teaching and mentoring students in the Barrett Honors College, and has been a Distinguished Nominee for the ASU Parents Association Professor of the Year Award three times.
